Fuerte Bulnes is located 55 km south of Punta Arenas. It is a historical reconstruction of the fort founded in 1843. When a young republic under the government of Manuel Bulnes took possession of the Strait, both by strategy and economic potential and by the desire and will of Bernardo O’Higgins.
The tour visits several sites of interest, such as the interpretive center that houses an exhibition on human and natural history in relation to the Strait of Magellan, the viewpoint of the Strait, O’Higgins lighthouse, the church, the post office, the jail, stables, among others.
Finally, an obligatory stop is made at a geographical landmark – half of Chile (considered from the northern limit of Chile to the south pole).

Punta Arenas City Tour
Passengers pick up in the city of Punta Arenas.
Transportation to Fuerte Bulnes, 55km south from Punta Arenas.
Path through the Fort reconstruction, in a trail that takes you to the Strait look out, important historic place where Chilean government took possession of Magallanes region.
Visit to the museum, in wich you will find natural and human history around the Magallanes Strait. This Visitors center includes two floors of information, and cafeteria.
Return to the city of Punta Arenas, doing an special stop in the geographic landmark Half of Chile (Half of chile, from Perú limit to Antártica).
Kids between 3 to 12 years old have 50% discount in the tour price, infants under 3 years old are free.
General adults tickets $10.000, Kids $5.000, Infants free.
This Tour can also be done in the afternoon, with a minimum of 4 people.
