Pali Aike National Park is a special place in Chilean Patagonia; also, it is known for its volcanic land that looks like the moon’s surface. It covers 5,030 hectares and is 196 km from Punta Arenas. The park has old lava flows and volcanic cones made during three big eruptions. The last one happened between 16,000 and 10,000 years ago, forming the famous Devil’s Lair Crater.
In the Tehuelche (Aonikenk) language, Pali Aike means “empty place” or “place of bad spirits.” About 12,000 years ago, the first people arrived here. They used caves for shelter and lived with large animals that are now extinct, like the giant sloth. In fact, over time, many groups lived in this area, including native peoples, explorers, ranchers, and scientists.
The park has a unique environment typical of dry Patagonian steppe, with plants and animals that can live in tough conditions. Because of this, it is a great place for people who like nature and watching wild animals.

We suggest wearing comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, bringing water, sunscreen, and a camera to take pictures of the amazing volcanic views. So, it is important to be ready for changing weather.

We go to each person accommodation place in Punta Arenas city. Then we take the route to Pali Aike National Park, located 196 kms northeast from Punta Arenas. In the way we stop in San Gregorio Estancia wich is the most ancient estancia in the region. Also we can see the Amadeo and Ambassador steamships; symbols of maritim activity during the XIV and XX centuries.
We continue the trip to Pali Aike, stopping in Villa O’Higgins if someone needs something.
Visit to Pali Aike National Park, wich consist in the visit to: Pali Aike Cave (National Monument), Morada del diablo crater, Basaltic lava fields, and volcanic pits.
We take the rout back to return to Punta Arenas city.

Los niños entre 3 a 12 años tienen un 50% de descuento en el valor de la tarifa, los infantes hasta 3 años menos un día tienen tarifa liberada.
Para realizar este tour, se debe contar con un mínimo de 4 pasajeros. Se pueden hacer reservas de forma individual, sin embargo, se confirmara de forma posteriormente si se llega al mínimo para la realización, en caso contrario, se puede hacer cambio de fecha o devolución de dinero.
