The Navigation and Trekking Cabo Froward tour offers a unique chance to explore the southernmost tip of the American continent. During this journey, you will sail the Strait of Magellan, passing near the historic San Isidro Lighthouse, before hiking to the iconic Cruz de Froward.
The adventure begins with a transfer from Punta Arenas hotels to the southern coastline, covering roughly 70 kilometers. Next, guests board the boat at Punta Árbol to navigate along the coast, passing notable sites such as El Águila Bay, El Indio Bay, San Nicolás Bay, and Rosas Bay.
Afterwards, the boat docks at the base of Cabo Froward, where the hiking segment begins. The moderately challenging trek lasts about one hour and ends at the famous Cruz de Froward, marking the continent’s end.
This tour allows visitors to experience breathtaking landscapes and observe unique flora and fauna native to Patagonia’s southernmost region. For example, you might see various bird species and distinctive plants. Learn more about Patagonia’s natural wonders here.
Participants should wear comfortable trekking gear and sturdy shoes. Additionally, sunscreen, water, and a camera are essential. Weather in the Strait of Magellan can change rapidly, so dressing in layers is advised.

Pick up from accommodation places. Please be punctual. Then we go 70 kms south to Punta Árbol.
Security Talk and boarding to the boat.
Disembarkation at the foot of Cape Froward and beginning of the ascent to the cross, the route lasts approximately 1 hour, and we stay at the base of the cross about 30 minutes.
Beginning of the descent, we include a snack when we arrive to the beach.
