You will also enjoy the incredible scenery at Lago Sarmiento, and then finish at Portería Laguna Amarga, with a unique image of the Towers. This park is one of the 11 protected areas in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Region. The total area of protected areas comprises 51% of the region’s total area (6,728,744 hectares). Torres del Paine National Park was founded in 1959 under the name “Parque Nacional de Turismo Lago Grey”. Another important event was the declaration as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in April 1978.

Torres del Paine Base Trekking
We go to each accommodation in Punta Arenas.
Arrive to Puerto Natales. 10 minutes stop at the seaside.
Visit to Milodón cave.
Check in Hotel Lago Grey and then walking of 30 minutes approximately by the lake beach to get to the catamaran. Only in months when the river increse the caudal, the hotel uses a boat to get to the catamarán without walk.
Visit to lookouts, as; Pehoé, Salto Grande, Nordenskjöld and Laguna Amarga with view to the towers (If its clear)
Arrive to Puerto Natales.
